If you really want to yes of course, but because bundled data plans are not the best value for you we urge you to be sure first. We keep our per GB pricing low, so paying for a block of data you may never fully use is often poor value.
As long as the country is on our supported list yes. Remember, you are not purchasing data, you are pre-loading a wallet. The data you use will be chargeable at the advertised rate and deducted from your wallet as you use it.
Not on our trvllr product, remember you are not buying data up front. You are pre-loading an online account or wallet so you only pay for what data you actually use. As such, there are no time limitations involved at all on trvllr. However, if you opt for trvllr.pass then yes there are standard time limits like all other bundled data. Which is why we urge you to be sure before purchasing any data bundle.
Not yet. As standard the trvllr. eSIM is a data only product. It is designed to cater for social media, emails, whatsapp, and any other data service. It does support VoiP or VoLTE calling though as well as iMessage.
No. trvllr. is a data only product and as such it doesn't come with a cellphone number.
You will be notified when your available credit or wallet balance falls to around 20%. Giving you plenty of time to top-up again. But we know travelling can be hectic and mistakes happen so if you do manage to run out of data completely, we will always allow you access to top up again. Meaning you will never be left stranded or unable to get online.
Not at all. trvllr. is designed to be a "one time" download for life, and will support you on your travels almost anywhere you go.
Absolutely. In fact many of our customers use trvllr. for just that reason. Giving them coverage on multiple networks in their own country.
Most modern smart phones are eSIM compatible, and you can check with our list of supported devices here, or ask your current phone provider. Failing that, we can always send you a compatible physical sim card to use if you'd prefer?
Because that's how data bundles make money. It's called breakage. By assuming that you either run out of data (so that you have to top up again), or run out of time... thus losing the data you paid for.
Yes... but slightly differently. At trvllr. we don't promote bundled or inclusive data. It's typically false economy for you. In fact, we want to be clear... there is no such thing as an Unlimited Data package, and if you are seeing them advertised be very careful. We have partnered with the Fairest unlimited data product on the market...FAIRPLAY
In most cases, if the network you are roaming on offers 5G then the trvllr. eSIM will also support it. We do not restrict access to 5G so if it is available, and your phone supports it, you will get it.
In our experience, if you cannot get online with trvllr. it's usually because there is an issue with your wallet (not enough funds) or an issue with the local network. But if you have checked these and still cannot connect, you can message us and we will look at our end. Worse case, you will be able to withdraw any already funds deposited at any time.
Yes. We do not restrict your usage. But just be mindful that allowing multiple devices to utilise your trvllr. eSIM can result in significant data consumption.
No. The two sims operate completely independently. However, you will need to ensure that you only use your trvllr. eSIM when travelling to avoid getting roaming charges from your domestic sim provider. Most modern smart phones can store multiple eSIM's but only one or two eSIM's can be active at any time.
Yes. Whilst each phone must download it's own trvllr. eSIM. They can consume value from the same wallet. There are no restrictions on how many trvllr. eSIM's that can consume from a wallet, so you can download, top-up and travel for your entire family or team if you wish, and each trvllr. eSIM will have their own itemised data consumption.
No. trvllr. is a global product and part of it's appeal and convenience is that it's a single eSIM download no matter where you travel. If you need local connectivity, either for localised restrictions or cost reasons, then trvllr. is not the right product.
